Welcome to St. Croix INternational Waterway COmmission
The St. Croix International Waterway Commission is an international, charitable, non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the beautiful St. Croix River boundary watershed. Created through the 1986 memorandum of understanding between the Province of New Brunswick and the State of Maine, our goal is to conserve, protect, and enhance, both the natural environment of the waterway, and the recreational opportunities found within.
Our vision is to enhance recreational opportunities, promote the tourism potential of the region, conserve and protect the scenic beauty of the waterway, and to coordinate and co-operate in future planning around waterway usage. We hope to ensure that the valuable recreational benefits, and socioeconomic opportunities of the river and region are realized.
