JOB OPPORTUNITIES

The St. Croix International Waterway Commission hires staff seasonally from April-November for a variety of positions, hiring is also dependent upon projects. Please see below for current seasonal opportunities for the 2024 operating season. The St. Croix International Waterway Commission is also able to hire both Canadian and American citizens for these positions. Note that applicants must be able to cross the international border without restriction.

Park Host

We are seeking park hosts for Spednic Lake Provincial Park as well as Scott Brook/Gravel Island Provincial Parks. Employment is generally from the beginning of May until mid-September. 

We may also be able to accommodate a seasonal lot for a park host at no extra cost.

Recreation Technician

We run a comprehensive recreation program from mid-April-November which sees us maintain three Provincial Parks in New Brunswick, over 40 remote water access campsites in Maine and NB, as well as various other recreational facilities found along the International St. Croix Waterway. If you like canoeing, boating, exploring, and working outdoors then this is the job for you!

Environmental Technician

Usually we have several environmental projects and programs that occur throughout the Spring, Summer, and Fall. These projects range from conducting fish counts, fish tagging/tracking, water quality, and more. This position is well suited for a university/college student who is looking to gain more experience working in the environmental science field.
