A number of communities, large and small, dot the shorelines of the St. Croix corridor. Though they span an international border, residents share many family, historic and cultural ties. Increased security and border enforcement since 2001 have tested these bonds, but residents, municipalities, and organizations like the Commission work to ensure the community bonds remain.
